Puzhayorazhakulla Pennu (Malayalam)

It has been over an year since this blog is inactive…had enough brickbats from family and friends on my lethargy :-) Thanks to my buddies Vivek & Asha for making me listen to this mellifluous composition of Late Sri Raveendran, last weekend. That gave me the push to clean up my recording gear.

This folk song was originally rendered by Sri Yesudas. Poet Sri O.N.V Kurup compares Aluva river to a beautiful maiden and describes her melancholy.

The song is dedicated to my better half Soumya!

You have done full justice to this beautiful song and recreated the pathos and pain. Great job!
