Karmegavannan - Devotional (Tamil)

It has been long time that I have been thinking of recording a devotional song. Recently I came across this amazing composition in raga Kanakaangi by Shri Kannan & Shri Durgabala from the private album ‘Sri Venkatesha Gana Ratna Pushpanjali’.

This was originally sung in the album by Srividya Kasturi, an amazing singer who is very popular among music bloggers. Thanks a lot Srividya ! for sharing the track on my request

Kanakaangi is a rare raga which brings out ‘Bhakti’ rasa with its peculiar flow of swaras.

Excellent rendition, Rajesh:) I am so glad that you liked this composition and you have done full justice to it! The variations you added at a few places were also in sync and very nice:)

Thanks again for attempting this song in ur voice:)

Hello Rajesh, bumped into your site a couple of days back. Wanted to listen to most of the songs and then comment. Not familiar with most of the songs, but liked em all. Esp Karmegavannan, Then Pandi, and Vande mataram. Keep posting.

Very nicely sung Rajesh. I have just one request in all your renditions. Can you be a little more emphatic in your pronunciation ? I mean "azuththam". There is nothing wrong at all in your pronunciation. Just needs a little more syllabic pressure on the lips and tongue.
